The last couple of years have been challenging with any writing I desired to accomplish. There have been physical complications for both my husband and me. I will not negate the seriousness of any of the conditions, but neither will I validate the enemy’s tactics against us.
I will only boast about how good God is while walking through the storms of life. I will applaud God for the blogs and scriptures that He put on my heart to send forth for encouragement and discipleship. I will thank Him for every step of guidance and open door He provided (and still is) while we wait on more tests and diagnosis. For as the scriptures tell us to do, we will shout our praises for HIM for the victories yet seen and heard.
We have healing scriptures posted everywhere in our home. I carry an anointed cloth in my purse, and there is one in my pillowcase, for “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” (James 5:6). My dear praying friends have anointed those cloths in faith. I believe!
My husband and I have received specific “Words” from the Lord. We claim those scriptures, we believe His Word, and we expect in faith that nothing is impossible for those who love Him. We believe!
One morning, the Lord woke me at 2:22 am and said, “James 2:22”. This scripture is talking of Abraham when it says, “You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did”. When God Almighty wakes you to speak to you, it is a good idea to listen and listen I did! I was reminded to speak His Word and not the doctor’s report. I was reminded to speak to every symptom and to remind the devil that the blood of Jesus has already taken care of it. And here is the biggie…When I was given permission to go through procedures, God directed me to “do it and SPEAK THE WORD”. Hallelujah!
The most recent “Word” we received from our Father in Heaven was this:
1 Peter 1:6-9NLT – 6 So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. 7 These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. 8 You love Him even though you have never seen Him. Though you do not see Him now, you trust Him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. 9 The reward for trusting Him will be the salvation of your souls.
This, my friend, is how God encourages those He loves! So, if you or any of your loved ones are walking through a storm of any kind, I encourage you to ask a faith-believing friend to agree in prayer with you, touch the hem of Jesus’ garment, PRAY THE WORD, SPEAK THE WORD, TRUST HIM, and BELIEVE HE WILL TOUCH YOU!
Our healing, our peace, would never be possible if it weren’t for the price Jesus paid on the cross. This is the season we can specifically let our gratitude show. Part of our church mission statement is: “Loving God by Loving People”. We can all show a little more love toward one another as we spread the joy of the season – JESUS.
I am praying for you, but most importantly:
JESUS IS PRAYING FOR YOU!
