During our pre-service prayer this past Sunday, excerpts from Psalm 107 were read to those attending. There was such a sweet presence of the Holy Spirit in our midst, with instrumental worship music playing in the background.
Psalms 107:1-2 – 1Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. 2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy
Yes! God’s mercy endures forever! Let the redeemed of the Lord say so! We have been redeemed!
That was enough to make us praise Him with gratitude, yet the Lord continued ministering with additional verses throughout this chapter. Then in the Spirit-filled Bible there are “Truth-in-Action” sections. For Psalms 107, it states, “The Psalmists calls for constant verbal expression of heartfelt gratitude to God for all of His benefits and gifts to man.” Then as stated in this same section, one by one, the prayer team began to pray for the following:
By the time the team had prayed these glorious prayers, God’s presence was tangible. Burdens were lifted, hearts were mended, our faith was enlarged, peace was granted, and strength was obtained. Exuberant praise brought forth His Holy Presence in a mighty way. Thank You Father for such a beautiful moment with You!
May you take time this month to be thankful for your many blessings. Be intentional to give God the praise, the glory, that He so deserves. Use the above list in your prayer time, if you wish, but I pray you find “rest” in His Presence. May God bless your heart as you spend quality time with Him!
